WDS-12 is the
latest version in the 12-draft slip type straight through tandem
wire drawing machine; developed, manufactured and marketed in
India The machine is capable of reducing 9.52 mm
Ǿ copper/aluminium
redraw rod to finishing sizes ranging between 4.09 and .50 mm
Ǿ. A five speed gear box is employed to give production speeds
of 400 to 1200 m/min.
The machine
incorporates a short period wire accumulator and an automatic
quick spool hanging mechanism thus obviating the need for
stopping the machine during spool changes. A centrifugal switch
stops the machine instantaneously should the wire break.
Overall dimensions are 1100 mm x 1400 mm x 9500 mm.
